meet your new physical therapist

Dr. Maya Inozemtseva

Hi! This is Dr. Maya Inozemtseva, PT, DPT, ATC and I am a California Licensed Physical Therapist. I received a Bachelor in Athletic Training and continued my education to receive a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at Boston University through the 6-Year Accelerated, Dual-Degree Program. While receiving my Graduate Degree, I actively worked as an Athletic Trainer with various sports and teams around the Greater Boston Area, including annual volunteering to provide care for the Boston Marathon.

I remained in Boston for a few years after graduation, working primarily with active adults, runners, and strength & conditioning athletes. When COVID began and gyms closed, I had to pivot and began taking contracts across the US as a Travel Physical Therapist, which is how I ended up on the lovely California Central Coast! It didn’t take long to fall in love with this area!! It was here that I identified a shortage of Physical Therapists and decided to follow my dream of opening my own practice!

Growing up, I participated in many sports but mainly Track & Field, leading to a variety of my own injuries and chronic low back pain. Throughout this time, I saw a wonderful PT who reshaped my view of pain and injury, rehabilitated me until I was (and still am!) pain-free (though it is a lifestyle change!). This quickly developed into the passion I have for Physical Therapy today. My personal experiences and professional background with sports and orthopedics shape me to be a unique provider who not only focuses on the injury, but the person as a whole. It is my understanding of how the body and mind works together that allows me to effectively treat pain and return patients to their best self. I remain highly enthusiastic and excited to work with all individuals and look forward to helping you in your rehabilitation!

In my free time, I love staying active. Running, weight lifting, and hiking are my big hobbies. Exercise keeps the mind sharp! I am lucky to be able to share these activities with my significant other and my cute dog, Vega.

How I Can Help

Individualized physical therapy.

Every patient is unique, as no two bodies have the same anatomy, movement patterns, and history of injury. We take a holistic approach to care, discussing lifestyle, observing movement, taking objective measurements, and discussing goals prior creating a plan of care catered specifically to you. Then, through a strong patient-doctor relationship and with the use of a variety of treatments, we begin the journey to healing.
